Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, which underpins enterprise-scale AI and data analytics platforms. This is a hands-on position where you will drive infrastructure automation, ensure platform reliability, enhance security, and scale our systems to meet growing demands. You will collaborate closely with software, data, and machine learning engineers, leveraging modern DevOps practices to maintain secure, efficient, and highly available systems, enabling our teams to innovate and deliver rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt).
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery and infrastructure deployments.
- Own platform reliability through robust monitoring, observability, incident management, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain GitOps workflows for infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Ensure infrastructure adherence to security and compliance requirements, including IAM, secrets management, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs while upholding performance and reliability standards.
- Create internal tooling, automation scripts, and comprehensive documentation to boost developer productivity.
- Partner with engineering teams to support platform growth and drive operational excellence.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the strategic direction and best practices of our infrastructure.
Requirements
Critical Requirements
- 4–7+ years of industry experience, with at least 4 years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience managing AWS production environments.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably Amazon EKS.
- Deep expertise in Terraform, Terragrunt, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and scalability principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience at top-tier AI, infrastructure, developer tooling, data platform, or fintech companies (or companies of similar scale and complexity).
- Experience building and scaling high-impact products in fast-moving environments is strongly preferred.
Important Requirements
- Experience implementing security and compliance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response practices.
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or GPU-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies and advanced cloud networking.
- Experience working with enterprise SaaS or multi-tenant cloud environments.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps methodologies.
