Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect Engineer to ensure that overall architectural and finishing requirements are executed to the highest standards. This role involves meticulous monitoring, reviewing, and amending of both technical drawings and actual site work. The Senior Architect Engineer will play a crucial role in project oversight, quality control, and coordination across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review contract documents, bills of quantities, plans, and specifications at the project's commencement and provide a comprehensive report of observations.
* Evaluate, approve, and create comparative tables for submitted materials against project specifications, recommending accreditation or non-accreditation, subject to owner authorization.
* Review and approve special quantities, excess works, savings, and extracts within their specialization, and review quantities as determined by the quantity surveyor.
* Provide clear directions to site observers on how to follow up and monitor assigned tasks for all project stages, and oversee observer performance on-site.
* Adhere to contractual timelines for reviewing drawings, approving materials, and other contractor submissions.
* Ensure the project aligns with the setting-out plan and that site progress matches the approved schedule.
* Inspect completed work, samples, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project documents.
* Manage and follow up on all inspection requests.
* Verify that all materials used and work performed meet specifications, ITPs, and method statements.
* Provide day-to-day site supervision, including monitoring progress and manpower.
* Oversee quality control, health, and safety matters on site, ensuring construction adheres to the safety plan.
* Facilitate coordination between structural and MEP disciplines.
* Ensure the Contractor's work does not cause undue interference to the public, including access to roads and footpaths.
* Investigate site conditions to identify obstacles to proposed construction during work progress.
* Coordinate material, process, or system testing related to engineering works.
* Assist site inspectors with all inspection procedures.
* Prepare progress reports concerning project schedules and resources.
* Develop plans and drawings that clearly outline the architectural design of the project.
* Apply knowledge of engineering, math, science, and materials to achieve an ideal finished product.
* Conduct site evaluations to ensure work quality and adherence to safety standards.
* Oversee and provide recommendations throughout the entire construction process.
* Collaborate with various teams to establish goals, schedules, and budgets.

Requirements

Critical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or higher.
  • Proficiency in the English Language.
  • 12+ years of experience, preferably in Consultancy Projects (Supervision).
  • Proven experience with BIM and Revit.
  • Strong organizational, creative, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of SBC (Saudi Building Code) and relevant authorities' requirements.
  • Responsibility for reviewing and approving related items in monthly contractor invoices.
  • Coordination with all disciplines before final approval.
  • Coordination between all assigned contractors.
