Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work in short iterations and in close collaboration with customers and users. From shaping new ideas and turning them into features to ensuring the software runs reliably on our on-premise infrastructure, you will bring a broad perspective and thrive on end-to-end ownership. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build new services that process and store large volumes of data, selecting the most appropriate storage technologies.
- Maintain and enhance existing services to ensure high performance, stability, and data integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues promptly, troubleshooting across code, infrastructure, and databases.
- Write well-structured, well-tested, maintainable, and efficient code in line with coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and end users throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
Critical Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java (8 or later) as a primary language
- Solid experience with both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and trade-off evaluation
- Proven experience building distributed, microservice-based applications
- Proficiency with Linux and the command line
Important Requirements
- Technical understanding of event-driven architectures
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tooling, including Docker
- Experience writing and executing unit tests
- Experience implementing and monitoring system quality attributes, including observability with Prometheus and Grafana
- Understanding of Mechanical Sympathy principles and working knowledge of low-level network programming
Nice to Have Requirements
- Working knowledge of Python
- Experience with SIP and RTP protocols
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, NSQ, or ActiveMQ
- Experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with object storage (e.g., Amazon S3)
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and Apache Iceberg, and designing data warehouses
- Familiarity with Ansible and Kubernetes
