Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Administrator to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our large-scale digital infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant digital transformation initiative in Germany, focusing on modernizing our IT environment with a strong emphasis on AI integration and secure enterprise adoption. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our workplace IT operations while driving innovation and service improvement.

In this role, you will take ownership of workplace IT operations, ensuring a seamless and productive experience for our users. You will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge AI tools and APIs into our existing infrastructure, contributing to the development of a highly modern, AI-enabled IT environment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining secure, GDPR-compliant AI usage across business units, supporting one of Europe’s largest municipal broadband initiatives.

Requirements

Critical Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of IT administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Proficiency in Azure environments.
  • Deep expertise in Windows client management and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure operations and workplace systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in German (C1 level) and English (B2 level).

Important Requirements

  • Experience in IT project coordination and service improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with API and AI tooling integration (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI Foundry).
  • Understanding of secure, GDPR-compliant AI usage in enterprise environments.
  • Previous leadership or IT project management experience.

Nice to Have Requirements

  • Experience supporting large-scale digital infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of municipal broadband initiatives.
