Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction supervision team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for all post-contract commercial and financial management activities. You will ensure rigorous cost control, manage valuations, administer complex contracts, and mitigate financial risk throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with project management, clients, and contractors, you will play a key role in delivering world-class developments on time and within budget.
Requirements
Critical Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying on large-scale construction supervision projects.
- Expert understanding of FIDIC contracts and standard forms of contract.
- Proven experience in cost control, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage the change control process, including evaluating and negotiating variations and claims.
Important Requirements
- Experience with high-rise building projects.
- Strong proficiency in scrutinizing interim payment applications and conducting on-site measurements.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and clients.
- Ability to prepare detailed cash flow projections and commercial summaries.
Nice to Have Requirements
- Membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent professional certification.
- Specific experience in luxury residential or hospitality construction projects.
