Job Description

Our client, a leader in the space technology sector, is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join their dynamic team. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements. The role focuses on the development of cutting-edge satellite ground systems, robust cyber security applications, and efficient satellite data processing solutions. Candidates will work within modern software architectures and agile project methodologies, contributing to innovative projects in a leading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop software (sub-)systems for satellite ground systems and data processing applications.
  • Design software architectures and define system interfaces.
  • Implement unit tests and support integration and validation testing processes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Actively participate in agile development teams, following Scrum principles.
  • Coordinate development activities with technical leads as needed.
  • Provide support to Scrum Masters and Product Owners.
  • Contribute to technical proposals and the development of new concepts.

Requirements

Critical Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Strong experience in object-oriented software development.
  • Proficiency in C# & .NET or Java.
  • Solid understanding of requirements engineering.
  • Solid understanding of software design & architecture.
  • Solid understanding of unit testing & validation.
  • Solid understanding of configuration management.
  • English language proficiency (required).

Important Requirements

  • Experience working in agile development teams (Scrum).
  • German language skills (good to have).

Nice to Have Requirements

  • Experience as a Product Owner.
  • Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Red Hat / Linux environments.
  • Programming skills in Python or Rust.
  • Experience with RESTful API design.
